Kanaco Takahashi

Nata nel 1983 a Yokohama, Giappone. Vive e lavora a Milano.

Nel 2006 si è laureata presso la Joshibi University of Art and Design.

Ha partecipato a mostre personali e collettive principalmente in Italia e ha ricevuto diversi premi.

Nel 2025 è la vincitrice del Premio Paolo VI per l’arte contemporanea.

 

Attraverso pittura, disegno e testo, la sua pratica artistica indaga i temi dell’assenza e presenza, della memoria e dell’oblio.

Negli ultimi anni lavora sul concetto di soglia, esemplificato dalla rappresentazione della finestra come luogo di passaggio.

 

Muovendo da una sensibilità giapponese e dall’esperienza di vita in Europa, il suo lavoro riflette le dissonanze e le risonanze che emergono tra culture e linguaggi.

 

Negli ultimi anni è inoltre attivamente impegnata in attività artistiche attraverso workshop e contesti educativi.

Kanaco Takahashi
Born in 1983 in Yokohama, Japan. Based in Milan, Italy.
She graduated in 2006 from Joshibi University of Art and Design.
She has participated in solo and group exhibitions mainly in Italy and has received several awards.

In 2025, she was the winner of the Premio Paolo VI for Contemporary Art.

Working across painting, drawing, and text, her practice explores themes of absence and presence, memory and oblivion.
In recent years, she has been working on the concept of the threshold, exemplified by the representation of the window as a place of passage.

 

Drawing on both Japanese sensibility and her experience of living in Europe, her work reflects the dissonance and resonance that emerge between cultures and languages.
 

In recent years, she has also been actively engaged in artistic activities through workshops and educational settings.

高橋香菜子
1983年 神奈川県横浜市生まれ。イタリア・ミラノ在住。
2006年、女子美術大学芸術学部卒業。
イタリアを中心に個展・グループ展に参加し、複数の賞を受賞。

絵画、ドローイング、言葉を横断しながら、不在と存在、記憶と忘却を主題に制作を行う。
近年は「窓」を重要なモチーフとして、身体、空間、光と影といった知覚の境界に注意を向け、
制作の根底にある個人的な体験と、普遍的な感覚の接点を探っている。

日本的な感性とヨーロッパでの生活経験を背景に、
文化や言語の間に生じるズレや共鳴を作品に反映させている。
また近年は、ワークショップや教育の場を通した表現活動にも力を入れている。
